Lydia grew up in Manchester, England, to Irish parents. From a very young age, she was passionate about helping others - running errands for the elderly, making visits, and offering support to those in need. Her caring nature and dedication to service followed her across the Atlantic when she moved to the United States in 1995.
In 2005, Lydia founded Cara Care Inc., driven by her commitment to providing high-quality caregiving services. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and established an agency focused on trust, compassion, and excellence. At Cara Care, Lydia emphasizes hiring trustworthy, kind caregivers from within her team - people who already share her values and dedication.
Lydia’s goal is to provide clients and families consistency of wonderful care whether in their own homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes whilst promoting independence. Under her leadership, Cara Care Inc. goes above and beyond to ensure each client receives personalized, compassionate care from caregivers who truly care.

Founded in 2005 by Lydia Madden, an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Cara Care Inc. was born out of a deep understanding of the importance of compassionate, high-quality caregiving. Lydia’s dedication to excellence stems from her personal experience with immediate family and neighbours in the caregiving field. Lydia is a great advocate for her clients and helps families navigate the stress and unknowns with their caregiving decisions. She has helped so many families over the past twenty five years with her knowledge and expertise.
Lydia believes that entrusting loved ones to caregivers is a significant decision, and she is committed to ensuring that every caregiver is not only experienced but also compassionate, trustworthy, and respectful. She personally emphasizes hiring through word-of-mouth from her trusted team members, and every caregiver undergoes thorough screening and background checks.
